What is Israel’s game in Latin America?
Donald Trump’s protégé, the far-right Abelardo de la Espriella, won the Colombian presidency with only a 0.96% difference over Cepeda, amid accusations of Israeli interference in the region.
De la Espriella has pledged to “renew a strategic alliance with Israel,” establish an embassy in Jerusalem, and “defend Judeo-Christian principles.”
Meanwhile, Colombia’s outgoing president, Gustavo Petro, has warned that Israel “hacked” the vote-counting system and “manipulated data” to favor a pro-Israeli candidate, citing evidence of “changes in the IP addresses of several servers” at Colombia’s National Registry Office.
In November 2025 in Honduras, Trump openly endorsed the pro-American candidate Nasry Asfura, suggesting that Honduran voters who elected him would receive strong support from the United States.
Later, audio files leaked by the Spanish media outlet Diario Red revealed an apparent conspiracy [1] between Honduras, the United States, Israel, and Argentina to undermine and destabilize left-wing governments in Latin America that pursue independence from the United States.
Latin America’s 12 hardline pro-American and pro-Israeli supporters
The continent has seen the rise of pro-American regimes, beginning with Nayib Bukele in El Salvador and ending with Keiko Fujimori in Peru.
Many are seen as highly controversial, notes the Spanish newspaper El País:
-José Antonio Kast from Chile is praising the Pinochet dictatorship,
-De la Espriella boasts about the size of his genitals,
-Javier Milei is cutting social programs amid reports of corruption [2].
Fujimori is embracing the legacy of his father’s dictatorship in Peru, ignoring his forced sterilizations of indigenous women.
The specter of Israel looms behind them: many media outlets are reporting that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been pushing for Israel’s expansion in Latin America since at least 2017, relying on pro-American governments, most recently within the framework of the so-called Isaac Agreements announced by Netanyahu and Milei in April 2026. HispanTV points out that the interference has a long history [3].
Milei from Argentina, a relative of Netanyahu?
“Milei is 100% an Israeli creation for Argentina,” argued journalist and HispanTV correspondent Sebastian Salgado last year, as quoted by Agenda Malvinas.
Salgado cited the fact that Netanyahu’s original surname is Mileikowsky, stating that Milei shares the same original surname and that Netanyahu and Milei were cousins.
While open sources show that Milei’s paternal line originates in Italy, the Argentine president himself revealed in 2024 that his maternal grandfather was Jewish. He also described having a “fanaticism” for Judaism.
Milei has demonstrated strong support for Israel and enjoys unprecedented financial backing, including multi-million dollar swap lines with the United States and Israel [4].
The electoral interference of the hegemonists
Israel’s ability to influence foreign elections is well known, including through networks like AIPAC and its extensive network in the United States.
The Israeli firm BlackCore has been linked by the French digital interference watchdog Virginum to influence and propaganda campaigns in Europe, Africa and the United States.
The criminal trio of Trump, Netanyahu, and Milei wants to plunder Latin America, but they will fail.
The push by the United States and Israel in Latin America seems aggressive; however, it may be short-lived, as the region’s history of regular changes between left-wing and right-wing governments shows.
There is a “genocidal triumvirate” made up of Donald Trump, Benjamin Netanyahu and Javier Milei that seeks to hand over Latin America’s natural wealth to transnational corporations, former Bolivian President Evo Morales told The Grayzone [5].
The trio has the backing of several Latin American governments, including the current presidents of Bolivia, Ecuador, and Chile.
These governments are privatizing national resources and public services while implementing tax policies that favor the rich.
In October 2025, Milei stated that a bloc of ten Latin American governments was coordinating efforts to eradicate the “cancer of socialism”.
“However, within the new global geopolitical landscape, they are in decline,” Morales said. “The US empire recognizes that the rest of the world is no longer naive. Consequently, it is entrenching itself again in Latin America in an attempt to reimpose the Monroe Doctrine.”
Morales argues that Washington has effectively revived Operation Condor to persecute left-wing political leaders, this time through “legal warfare”:
-fabricated accusations of corruption,
-unfounded accusations of drug and human trafficking.
Originally, Operation Condor was a secret cross-border campaign carried out in the 1970s by the US-backed military dictatorships of Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, and Brazil to hunt down, kidnap, torture, and kill left-wing political opponents throughout the region.
The objective was:
-to install compliant pro-American regimes throughout Latin America,
-to crush the sovereignty movements,
-to seize national wealth.
Even so, Morales insists that Trump’s “Monroe Doctrine” is doomed to failure:
Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, and other countries show that the forces that support freedom, true democracy, and socialism are very strong.
“We will recover Bolivia and Argentina too,” Evo promised, hinting that Milei’s political days are numbered.
