“Our wonder rocks are rich in resources like manganese, cobalt, nickel and copper, what we call rare earth metals. The seabed is littered with these rocks. The financial upside is huge. They are worth almost USD 110 billion. You can make batteries with them, or EV chargers or solar farms or wind farms. Basically, the deep sea could power India’s green transition, so it is very important.”
